Welcome!!!!!!!!!

I would like to welcome everyone to my blog. With this blog, I have hopes of engaging people on their thoughts about the importance of Birthdays and the importance of documenting them. I would love to hear your stories of your past birthday experiences and any birthday plans you have in the future. More importantly, share memories of past or present loved ones' birthday memories.

Also, I would just love to hear some fun and unique stories about your past relatives. You know, those stories that are told to you by your grandparents, aunts and uncles. After all, this blog is about generations and staying connected. Lets just talk Birthdays, share those memories and have fun with it.

As a child, I do not remember many birthday parties. I do remember the couple of parties I had as a teenager. However, I do remember one distinctive gift I received from a guy that use to hang at my grandmother's house. His name was Roosevelt. I remember him being very fond of me. He would always bring me oatmeal pies before I went to school. On my 5th birthday, he gave a hot pick!!! I remember thinking this was the coolest thing in the world. Back then, I had a lot of thick hair. So, this was a great solution. The pick was a combination of iron and plastic teeth that was heated up by being plugged into an outlet.
